Sentinel is the name of a ship from another world. It passed through a Convergence fifty years ago and crashed in the Hoarfrost Ridge, creating the area swampland known as the Black Moor. According to the Shields of the Sorrowfell, the Sentinel reveals the workings of an extremely technologically advanced civilization, although one completely unfamiliar with magic of any sort.

It is apparent that Sentinel passed through the Far Realm on its way to the Sorrowfell Plains, resulting in the deaths of the ship’s crew and the corruption of its governing intelligence, SENSEI. After suppressing the mutant creatures on the ship, the Shields of the Sorrowfell managed to repair SENSEI, allowing it to communicate intelligently again.

The University for the Study of the Arcane Arts and Sciences is currently investigating the Sentinel, working with SENSEI to form a research station in the Black Moor.
