The Fatehammer Comet was a great comet that threatened to crash into the Sorrowfell Plains fifty years ago, during the Cackledread War. Specifically, it was headed straight for the Wizard’s Tower in Duchy Jepson, threatening to level the town.

Fortunately, the Law of Fives managed to divert the course of the comet with potent magics, sending it careening into the Hoarfrost Ridge where it formed the Black Moor.

Fifty years later, the Shields of the Sorrowfell determined the Fatehammer comet to actually be the wreckage of Sentinel.
