Situated on the world of Guldor and protected by the fortress of Kandelspire, Maldev was the last capital of the Truegard Empire. Since being conquered by Lolth decades ago, Kiaransalee now rules Maldev as its regent.

Where once it was a thriving dwarf city, it is now a silent city fit for ghosts.

Of course, all that is in the past. The Shields of the Sorrowfell, along with Boudica, Cian, and Gerald summoned from the snailstone, liberated Maldev and returned it to the dwarves. Although much of Guldor is still occupied by monsters, Kiaransalee and her minions have been expelled from the world.
