The distant world of Guldor was conquered by the forces of Lolth, the Spider Queen. It is one of the many planes connected to the Demonweb Pits.

Its last bastion of civilization was the fortress city of Maldev, capital of the Truegard Empire. Maldev is now the seat of Kiaransalee’s power, managed as one of Lolth’s vassal states.

Or so it was. The Shields of the Sorrowfell defeated Kiaransalee and returned the city Maldev to its rightful dwarven rulers. Although much of Guldor is still held by monsters, the future of this world suddenly appears more hopeful.
