Crux of Eternity is a D&D 4e tabletop roleplaying game (although we just updated to fifth edition) following the adventures of the Shields of the Sorrowfell as they adventure through the Sorrowfell Plains (the location is deliberately vague, but if you have your Nentir Vale map handy, or even your Conquest of Nerath map floating around, it’s somewhere west of the Stonemarch).

The game ostensibly takes place in the “core” Points of Light setting, albeit about 50 years after everything collapsed rather than 100 years after the fall of Nerath. This line is marked by the “Cackledread War,” as residents of the Sorrowfell Plains call it, when the gnolls swept through civilization and wiped out everything. The larger settlements of the Sorrowfell Plains survived reasonably well, but many smaller ones did not recover.

Strange Events

Shortly after the initial incident, a foreign group of adventurers also found their way into the Tomb of Theronna Onyxarm. Interested parties should read of their exploits.
